SkoreKing
Privacy Policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
In short
SkoreKing collects no personal data. Everything you enter (player names, scores, game history) is stored only on your own device. If you choose to share a live scoreboard with the other players, it is end-to-end encrypted before it leaves your phone, so we cannot read it, and it is deleted within 24 hours. To help improve the app, it sends anonymous usage statistics, such as how many games are played and how long they last. You can turn this off at any time in Settings.
1Who we are
SkoreKing (“the app”, “we”) is a free score counter for the Skull King card game. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles information when you use it. By using SkoreKing, you agree to this policy.
2Information we collect
No personal data SkoreKing does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location, and the app does not contain any advertising or cross-app tracking technology.
The only information that leaves your device is the anonymous usage statistics described in the next section and, only when you choose to share one, a live scoreboard that we cannot read (section 4).
3Anonymous usage statistics
To understand how the app is used (how many games are played, how long they take, which rules are popular) and to improve it, SkoreKing sends a small amount of anonymous information to our own server:
- A random install identifier created by the app. It is not your device's advertising ID or hardware ID, it is not linked to you, and it is replaced by a new one if you turn statistics off.
- Technical context: app version, platform (iOS, Android or web), operating system version, the app's language and your device's region setting.
- Game milestones: when the app is opened, when a game starts, when a round is validated, and when a game ends or is abandoned, with the number of players, the number of rounds, the rules chosen, the duration, and the highest and lowest final score.
- Messages about our other apps: when one is shown, which version of the message it was, and whether it was opened or closed.
Never sent: player names, avatars, bids, the scores of individual players, your contacts, your location, or any advertising identifier. We do not store IP addresses.
This information is used only to produce overall statistics for us. It is not sold, not shared, not used for advertising, and not combined with data from other apps or websites. It is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) through Cloudflare, our network provider, and kept for at most 25 months, after which it is deleted automatically.
Statistics are sent in the background and never slow the app down. When your device is offline they wait on the device until the next connection.
To turn them off, open Settings, then Data, and switch off “Anonymous usage stats”. Statistics not yet sent are deleted from your device and nothing more is sent.
Messages about our other apps. After a game, SkoreKing may occasionally show a short message presenting another app we make, such as Nokko. To know whether there is one to show, the app checks our server in the background. That request contains only your platform (iOS or Android), plus the random install identifier when statistics are on (used to try a message on our own devices first); nothing about it is stored. This is not third-party advertising: there is no ad network and no tracking.
4Live scoreboard (only if you share it)
From the scoreboard, you can show a QR code so the other players follow the scores on their own phone, in their web browser, without installing anything. Nothing is shared until you tap “Share”. When you do:
- What is sent: the game as the players see it, that is the player names and avatars, bids, tricks won, the score of each round, totals, the round in play and the app's language.
- End-to-end encrypted: the app encrypts it on your phone before sending it. The key is only in the QR code and in the link, after the “#” sign, a part of a web address that browsers never send to any server. Our server keeps only data it cannot read: we cannot see the names or the scores. Anyone you give the QR code or the link to can see the scoreboard, so share it only with the people you play with.
- How long: the scoreboard is updated as the game goes on and deleted automatically 24 hours after its last update, or at once when you tap “Stop sharing” or abandon the game. A rematch keeps the same link.
- The page your friends open receives the updates from our server, through Cloudflare, our network provider. It uses no cookies and no trackers, and we do not store IP addresses. The number of phones watching is counted to show it to you.
- Anonymous counters: to know how live sharing is used and to keep our server from being overloaded, we keep a few figures about each shared scoreboard: when it started and stopped, how many times it was updated and the largest number of phones that watched it at the same time. They contain nothing from the scoreboard (no names, no scores), are not linked to the random install identifier or to you, and are deleted after 25 months.
Live sharing is separate from the anonymous usage statistics of section 3: switching those off does not stop it, and nothing about a shared scoreboard is added to them.
5Data stored on your device
To do its job, the app saves the following locally on your device only, using your device's standard app storage:
- Game data: the player names you type, bids, scores, bonuses, and the history of completed games.
- Statistics: per-player totals computed from your saved game history.
- Settings: your preferences such as theme, haptics, default rules, and language.
This data stays on your device. The only exception is a live scoreboard you choose to share (section 4), which leaves your device encrypted so that we cannot read it.
6How to delete your data
You are always in full control of your data:
- Use the in-app “Clear history” option in Settings to remove saved games and statistics.
- Delete individual past games from the History screen.
- Uninstalling the app permanently removes all of its locally stored data from your device.
- A live scoreboard you shared is deleted when you tap “Stop sharing”, and in any case 24 hours after its last update.
- Anonymous statistics already sent are deleted automatically after 25 months. Because they are not linked to you, we cannot look them up by name; if you still want yours removed, email us and we will help.
7No third parties
SkoreKing does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or social SDKs. The anonymous statistics and the encrypted live scoreboards go to a server we run ourselves and are not shared with anyone.
8Permissions
The app uses haptic feedback (vibration) to make interactions feel responsive. It does not require access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos, or any other sensitive device feature.
No camera No location No contacts
9Children's privacy
SkoreKing is suitable for all ages and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The anonymous usage statistics contain nothing that identifies a person.
10Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected in a future app update.
